Leila Mokhtari Varnosfaderani
Sculptor
I had a high school diploma in painting. then I became
a sculpture student.
My curiosity about sculpting began with concepts that I've
struggled with since I was a teenager.
I made things that were depressed. they screamed
or stuck somewhere.
For me the system of human mind was interesting. I wanted to know how he imagine and make connections between different issues.
I was trying to find the source of my sad moods and find out about the connections together and with my past.
This process let me find things that mind approaches to make things better during the history.
The meaning of human relations, Gods and demons, tradition, religion, cult, magic and temples it built, myth, nature, meditation and all the unseen that effects our mood. things that free us from our minds. for me, the invisible connection, the things that certainly cannot be talked about, is interesting.
So when I make things, I don't make an individual. I try to put the elements of my story with the negative space in them altogether. and I hope something exchanges between them and what happens to them,  be more original, aesthetically.
What I've learned, has tended me to explore "space" and my goal at this moment is to build a space that speaks about the connection between human mind and spiritual mood with Islamic architecture buildings.
